Chatrang

Special design idea for a chess based on "Shahnameh", Iranian ancient epic poem.

Ceramic chess pieces, unlike usual chess, have a no different color for two opposite sides, and the only difference is the color of the "Cloths". Foldable leather chessboard in addition to easy functionality provides a very good touch feeling for the user. Packaging design reminds the customer of the book that's intentionally based on the idea of "Chatrang". Dynamic graphic design of the packaging helps people obtain initial information about the version of the chess they have in hand, that's telling one story among  several battles written in "Shahnameh"
